Shannon, Rick and Dave talk about the Mariners first winning season in 1991 and how great it felt to Dave to do it by building from the farm system. The trio talk about food, naturally and the new rule to protect catcher from home plate collisions. Former Mariners pitcher Mark Langston is now a broadcaster for the Angels and he gives us a look at what the Angels are doing making some trades instead of signing free agents this offseason. He also talks about how he made the team in 1984. Shannon and Rick talk to Dave about his charity called Esperanza which helps fund small businesses and schools in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Mariners catcher Mike Zunino talks about his quick rise to the majors which he never even expected. He says he's kind of split on the idea of the new catcher's protection rules. Shannon, Rick and Dave talk about the role Kevin Mather will play in the organization as the new club president. Plus Bob Aylward is taking over the chairman of the board at ROOT Sports.

Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune talks about why he moved up here after being in Kansas City for many years and thinks the Mariners are an interesting team that isn't too far away from competing for a championship. Mariners marketing manager Mandy Lincoln gives us the lowdown on the Fanfest experience including the much talked about TWO ziplines. You can also taste new menu items being served at the ballpark this year.

Aaron, Shannon and Bill talk to the Mariners new manager Lloyd McClendon about his whirlwind tour around the country meeting personally with players. He says when a player does his job well, it's to be expected. Mariners shortstop Brad Miller talks about getting ready for bed right before his interview (he is on the East Coast). He also talks about his off-season routine, giving himself 2 weeks off and now lifts weights 3-4 days a week. Brad brings up his running style as being a "baby giraffe." It's supposed to be 50 and sunny for Mariners Fanfest this weekend Jan 25th and 26th. Robinson Cano, Corey Hart, Taijuan Walker and Lloyd McClendon are among the notable players who will be there.

Mariners pitcher Brandon Maurer joins the show to talk about his offseason and looking forward to working with the Mariners new pitching coach Rick Waits who was the M's minor league pitching coordinator. Mariners infielder Nick Franklin talks about his offseason diet/exercise plan which has him consuming a lot of calories. He also addresses the Robinson Cano signing and how this can effect him moving forward. Greg Johns of mlb.com joins the show and talks about the Mariners reaching an agreement with John Buck as a backup catcher and a look at the Hall of Fame voting. Shannon, Rick and Dave talk about what the players want when it comes to who goes into the Hall of Fame and who votes for it.
