He goes on to talk about some of the pitching prospects in the Mariners system, highlighting Rob Whalen and Max Povse they acquired from Atlanta. Aaron Goldsmith caught up with James Paxton on the Mariners Caravan who talks about how he developed a new arm slot last year and how it led him to better results on the mound.

Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto joins the show for the majority of the hour to talk about how he needed basically two full offseasons to get the team to where he likes it now. He talks about how the starting rotation should be stronger now with a more athletic outfield who can turn more fly balls into outs. He also likes the addition of speed to the lineup in Jarrod Dyson, Jean Segura and the other speedy outfielders as he thinks that style of baseball plays better at Safeco Field.
